travel united states oregon heceta head light keeper's house
Heceta Head light keeper's house is located about a quarter mile from the lighthouse and about half way between the beach and the lighthouse.
Construction began in 1892 and, currently, the house is beautifully restored and maintained and now serves as a Board and Breakfast Inn.
There are still public tours given of the house when weather and staffing permits.
The house can be reached by a gentle sloping wide gravel path, through beautiful trees and plants, for about 1/4 mile from the beach and parking lot.
On March 30, 2019, the 125th birthday of the lighthouse was celebrated by a party at the Light Keeper's House featuring live music, games, and free food.
